This blog is dedicated to memories of "the meal table."
I want to know your experiences at the meal table। What do you remember?

One of my main memories from the table was mom telling me I had to sit there until I finished all the food I didnt like to eat. So I sat there until bed time lol.
When I think of the meal table, I think of family. Some of my best memories are of Thanksgiving dinners I have shared with my family around the table. The best thing about those times was not the food, although it was always delicious, but the conversation with family members and just being together.
We were a family of 13 children so we talked about what we had done durning the day and Mom and Dad listen to all of us.Love a big family and the dinner table was full of food and converstation.
The meal table was a wonderful time when everyone talked and enjoyed hearing about each others day. As a mom myself I enjoyed our meal time with my son that was the time we shared our day with each other.
I remember us always eating together. Many years we ate at the kitchen table but I also remember eating at tray tables in the living room. I have some very funny food/meal memories of myself and my cousin. She is 9 years younger than me and would stay with us during the day while her Mom worked. She often ate with us and we had fun things happen while she was there.

Dinner was a time for us to gather around a table...not television. It was so important to my mother that we talk together.
